Breakdancing is one of the four elements of the hip hop culture
the other elements are Rapping, Deejaying, and Graffiti.
On the history of breakdancing, it has often been presented as a dance that replaced fighting between street gangs.
This is true in that way, that breakdance battles were used to act out their conflicts and
that some of them went from fighting to dancing, but breaking did not put an end to gang violence.
